Loving Plex for music but really disappointed that gapless playback is not supported? Would you like to see the devs work on this as a core feature?

I wrung my hands for a while trying to decide between âNoâ and âDonât Careâ, but eventually âNoâ won.
I donât want anything to distract not even one developer for an instant if thereâs a sno-ballâs chance in H311 he/she might be the one working on a Vertical Grid display in one of these loathsome Plex apps⊠or one of the many show-stopper bugs that Plague the Plexiverse.
Iâm certain I donât even know what Gapless playback of MP3/ALAC/AAC means, much less do I want anyone wasting their time on it when thereâs so many other things they should be doing.
I would support a developer or employee spending the time necessary to remove your email address from being displayed in a public forum (ever seen Mr. Robot or that Chinese guy that spams these forums?), but as soon as thatâs done⊠Back To Work!

Iâve actually just reported my own post, no idea what that email address is doing there.

Emilio as far as I can tell is part of the support staff here, I had a ticket with him, perhaps heâs made a mistake with my profile? Who knows.

his browserâs autofill has mistakenly entered that in one of the fields when he was fixing your account and he did not notice

It was just his browsers autofill putting it in there and he did not notice when he was fixing stuartkicks profile. had nothing to do with the forum software
I have been waiting patiently for this to become reality. Pretty much every other media player has this capability. My immersion in an album is ruined when that little gap of silence comes between two tracks that are meant to blend into each other. PLEASE make this happen!
Just so Plex is aware, Iâm a free user but I WILL BUY A PLEX PASS THE DAY THAT GAPLESS PLAYBACK BECOMES AVAILABLE and not a day sooner. Itâs a great product, but totally incomplete without this.

Can the devs share perhaps a timeline, is gapless playback on the cards or the back burner?
Would be nice to know if this becomes a feature request, or a statement from the devs regarding the complexity/feasibility of this feature (and if they want to do it maybe an estimation on how long it will take)
Because this is the only reason why I am still using Spotify instead of Plex for music.

If you check the member forum, itâs been a feature request for 4+ years 
Iâm using Plex for music but itâs kinda annoying.
We donât want gapless nor do we want a headphone jack on our iPhone.
You know, if Plex didnât handle music at all this would cease to be an issue.
(maybe Apple is onto something with regards to âremoving featuresâ?)

Iâve heard people grumble about the movie library functionality too, getting rid of music and movie support would solve about 99% of the support tickers lol

We need to be able to listen to our music as it was recorded by the artists! If there is no gap between songs, then make it so
