General query folks.
I have a terra master NAS and then Plex media server within.
I have copied all my films and tv shows etc to a folder and these have been found on the Plex server under the relevant folder and can be watched by any user account… however….
I have since moved the films to another folder and Plex has found once scanned but I have also added tv shows, for example each of the 18 episodes of the inbetweeners for my daughter who has Plex a Plex user account and her and mine and all other Plex accounts can’t see the shows/episodes in the Plex interface although the terra master nas shows they are where they should be and the file type is the same as others that are playing ok.
I thought it should be as easy as upload to the relevant folder and once Plex scans again it would appear in the folder menu.
If there is more to this and/or anyone is happy to discuss and explain further I’m happy for a DMnor even exchange mobile

Depending on how you named the files, this may not work the way you expect. Plex organizes movies and tv shows separately. You need to make separate PMS libraries for these and point them to separate folders. Putting both type of files in 1 folder can cause issues, best to keep things separate. So I have already put various types into same folder, can I split them into separate top main folders and have them refreshed with the Plex server to find them neatly, if so, once moved what are the options for them being found again in their new folders.
I’d really appreciate a DM and if possible a chat via teams/zoom etc that might help me
lets start with the basics Lets start with a Plex Dance of one of the shows, then a screenshot of the files in question (Along with folder paths) and a copy of your server log just after the dance finishes.
