Getting Plex Off My Computer

How do I delete Plex from my computer? I have an iMac. Plex doesn’t show up in the finder. I can’t seem find it anywhere on my computer.

Thank you very much for your response. I followed the instructions and was able to delete /Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/, /Library/Caches/PlexMediaServer/ and /Library/Logs/Plex Media Server.

However, when I opened the Terminal application and ran the command as instructed I got the following message:

Last login: Wed Mar 6 13:24:35 on console

iMac:~ david$ defaults delete com.plexapp.plexmediaserver

2019-03-06 13:39:05.286 defaults[640:63451]

Domain (com.plexapp.plexmediaserver) not found.

Defaults have not been changed.

iMac:~ david$

I also couldn’t find the actual application itself under /Applications/Plex Media Server.app.

I restarted my computer to see if it solved the problem. It didn’t. Plex tried to launch, but I got a spinning circle that wouldn’t stop. I then quit Plex to stop the attempted launch.

I am so anxious to get this software off of my computer.

Is there anything else you can advise?

Thank you and best regards,

David

Use Spotlight and search for Plex Media Server. Did you leave it in your Downloads folder and initially launched it from there?
