I have a good amount of anime, and I also travel and don’t want to use data, so I sync stuff quite often. If I set my language to english, and subtitles to show with foreign audio then any anime I have that has an english audio track won’t sync with subtitles enabled unless I manually set the subtitle track on every single episode. If I set my language to japanese and set subtitles to always enabled then if I happen to have subtitles for any english-language shows I want to watch, they’ll be enabled by default, and I don’t want that. Giving us options to always show subtitles on a per-show or per-library basis will solve all these problems.
I could solve this with remuxing and removing the tracks I don’t want, but I haven’t found anyway to automate this, and I’m not about to manually remux 100s of files.
