Requests for the same features exists already, and they both have more votes.
I would love for a way to change all the default subtitles in a TV series at once. In the language settings, I have it to automatically enable subtitles if foreign audio is detected, however it sometimes displays subtitles for my purely-english shows anyways.
The only way I have found to turn off subtitles is by manually going into each episode, of each season, of each TV series and selecting the drop-down subtitle box to “None”. If a TV show has 90 episodes… I have to select “None” 90 individu…

Most movie enthusiasts prefer watching movies in the original language and thus tend to prefer English language tracks. Thus the global Plex setting of defaulting to English language tracks is useful in order to avoid the occasional Dutch or French language surprise.
