I have been having this problem for years, and I am looking for a solution.
When playing back a Plex DVR recording of one specific OTA local channel, the captions are “frozen” on the screen until I stop/restart the playback multiple times (typically 5 to 10 times). Once the captions start working properly on that recording, the captions will continue to work fine until I stop or rewind the recording, after which the captions will be messed up and frozen again.
I do not see this caption issue with OTA recordings of any other local channels.
Additionally, I don’t see any issues playing back the exact same “bad caption” DVR recording in VLC - the captions will work perfectly fine in VLC.
How do I submit a sample recording and any debug information to Plex to help analyze the problem?
