Going Plex Lifetime Pass - The Hard Choice

I checked out Plex Pass features. I must say there are no garbage in it, just good stuffs. It’s good to know they are there if ever needed. The thing is I purchased an HDhomerun Extend after I see the add on the regular page. It’s nice! I can watch Live TV on my computer in HD. I want to use that feature on Plex. Since they are only local channels, I’m getting Sling TV packages as well tomorrow morning. I don’t think Plex supports Sling yet. I really don’t want to pay $150 just so I can watch my local channels when at work. I can use Sling TV anywhere itself though I would have rather have them all in one place.

I googled for Plex Pass and I found out that not long ago, it was just $75. I didn’t want to learn about all about Plex before because I didn’t know I’d be wanting more. There are lots of Forums talks about Plex out there and they are all saying one thing. “If Plex Lifetime Pass was $75, they’d have no question” They’d just get it. Would Plex makes more money selling to 5000 people at $75 for a lifetime pass or to 50 people at $150 for the lifetime pass?

Again, while all the features are great, I’m mostly interested in accessing my local TV from work on my personal laptop. I might be interested in adding my brother to share Sling with him, but not supported. I’m only left with just local channels for the price. I wish this was a simple feature for those who paid the windows and IOS app.

While i did it at 75 i would do it at 150 no questions asked…if you will be using something like plex cloud it will pay for itself in a few years.

Yes, all great features. I see a normal Cloud and an Amazon Cloud as well. My thinking right now for what I want now, $75 would be sweet. I’m buying a Dell PowerEdge T330 Tower Server with 64gb memory and I wanna get at least 20TB hard drive to copy thing I have on my Cloud EX4 20TB and have space left to add more stuffs. If something happens, I have backups. It’s a lot of money and I wanna save =D>
