Good wifi adapter to use?

I've got my Raspberry Pi set up and working nicely (for the most part) but it's currently connected to my network via an ethernet cable that runs from my bedroom, down the hall to my living room where my router is. So, I'd like to get a wifi dongle. Problem is I'm not sure which one to get.

I was looking at this one from adafruit. Does anyone know if it will work properly with Rasplex?

I use a netgear n300 dongle, tried with some cheap ones but they really suck and almost makes the pi useless.

with this one my pi was useless https://www.modmypi.com/raspberry-pi-accessories/wireless-usb-1n-nano-adaptor-802.11N-wifi-dongle

This one works for me, i've had no problems so far.

dansvarre are you using it directly connected to the pi or are you using it through a powered usb hub? I have the WIFI adapter the original poster is considering and can confirm it is terrible and have seen elsewhere that a powered USB hub is the only solution. If your using the n300 directly into the pi this would be a much better option.

Yes it is directly into the pi. Just the wifi dongle and a flirc dongle.
