Hi, I have just flashed rasplex on My raspberry pi 2. My pi needs to be in separate room than the router, so it needs to be connected in wireless mode. The problem is that the WiFi dongle which I have(Xiaomi Mini USB) needs drivers to be built for it as they are not easily available. I was able to build them on raspbian, but now that I'm trying to do that on the rasplex, I'm not able to do so as the rasplex doesn't support installing of any packages at all as it is OpenElec based. So I would be glad if any body could help Me out as to how to do it and if it is possible.

Get a WiFi dongle that is supported, plenty of suggestions in a number of topics in this forum. Or, use powerline adapters, WiFi can be problematic, especially the cheaper ones.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for Me as dongles are not easily available in My area. I was able to get this one with much trouble.
