Google Cast crashes on Plexamp, works fine with regular Plex app

Player Version#: Plexamp 4.6.2

I use Plexamp on my Android phone, and when I’m home I like to use the Google Cast option to stream music on my Android TV streamer.

Recently this feature stopped working. After connecting to my streamer with Google Cast on the Plexamp app, as soon as I start playing music the casting crashes. Doing the same thing using the regular Plex app instead of Plexamp works fine, so I assume the issue is with the Plexamp Android app.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Yes, in the last week after updating Plex server to current version, and upgrading both my Plex and Plexamp apps, only Plex successfully connects to Chromecast. Plexamp hangs. I can still review my library in Plexamp but to play on Chromecast I need to switch over to Plex and listen on that app.

Just updated my server to version 1.31.0.6654 but the issue persists.
It’s probably an issue with Plexamp.
Is there an official way to report bugs on Plex apps?

I will follow up the same way. I notice these instructions are for the server rather than the client platform.

A new version (4.6.3) of Plexamp has been released for Android and seems to address the Google Cast issue, though I haven’t had a chance to test it yet.
