I have had Plex for sometime , a long time I don’t have a huge library set up yet but I have one. Now I finally am very Happy to Have a Lifetime Plex Pass I’ve wanted forever did I say I was very happy
should I delete all my data and rescan now that I have the Plex Pass? What other things should I do now that I have a Plex Pass? Thank you.
Plex doesn’t store your media. Do you have it uploaded somewhere you’ve subscribed to as permanent storage?
No i understand how plex works I’ve used it for years but in order for it to let’s say music to refresh all the metadata using the better service. Well delete it and rescan it. I’ve had issues with the non plex pass music scanning services. Should i just restart now.
And I’m wondering if deleting all metadata for videos will keep from issue later as well
I tried to refresh a music folder with issues but unsure if it used the premium music service by default yet
You have to create a new premium music library - you cannot convert an existing one.
So just delete the current one and re add a music folder. Thanks
How about movies with extras and trailers?

You can even keep your old music library and create the Premium library additionally.
Just in case you may want to go back.

‘Refresh Metadata’ of the library should be enough, provided you have set all the necessary options both in the Agent settings

as well as in the properties of your library(s).
If you used to match your movies with ‘TheMovieDatabase’ rather than with ‘Freebase/Plex Movie’, I recommend you to check the line ‘Plex Movie’ under
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
or else you won’t get trailers for these movies
Try this out first by Refreshing a few single movies first.
Thank you that’s helpful I’ll check those settings. I never set those settings up.
