When will we be able to get the tvguide and dvr capabilities on the tv layout for the desktop client. Is this even something on the roadmap? Is there anything we can to do help this along?

They’re rolling the new UI gradually over time to all the clients. So, the answer to your quesion is that yes, it’s coming… and no, nobody knows when.
If you mean Plex Home Theater then you might be waiting a long time.
Both the Web app https://app.plex.tv/web and Plex Media Player already have these features.

Yes the grid feature is in the PMP normal view, but it isn’t in the TV Layout Mode. I can’t control the normal view with a keyboard or remote. Having to use a mouse to see the grid view of the dvr isn’t really useful. I’m wondering if the grid view is even coming to the TV Layout mode of pmp.
