I’m sorry but the new update is a bit of a kick in the chiclets for me.
- Why did Plex engineers decide it would be better to move the REPEAT and SHUFFLE buttons into a submenu?? There’s plenty of room for it to stay on the lower toolbar!
This is the main reason I don’t stream Plex through my Apple TV, I always preferred the Roku GUI to the Apple TV GUI because of this. I also dislike how the repeat options are hidden on the Apple devices like my iPhone & iPad. I literally stream 24/7 on 2 of my TV’s at my home and office, so I use it a lot. Adding that extra step is a real nuisance!
Spotify has the Repeat and Shuffle on the bottom toolbar, Plex should too!

Why did Plex engineers remove the “date of airing” from the TV episodes when you look at the info while it’s playing? Can this be reintroduced please?

This issue has bugged me for years, and I don’t understand why it’s NEVER BEEN ADDRESSED…? When you put a TV series on REPEAT ALL starting from Season 1 - Season 10, why does Season 10 repeat back to Season 10 with a random episode? Shouldn’t it start back at Season 1 Episode 1?
-
However, the biggest issue is that it’s locking up the Roku player. The only time the Roku locks up is when using Plex, I use Discovery+ and it doesn’t ever lock up while streaming that app.
-
I’ve just noticed an audio glitch using Plex. It could be the Roku firmware, but the Roku had just restarted itself after it locked up while scrolling through movies on Plex, so I had to reboot it manually to get the audio to work properly. The audio was scratchy and echoed everyone’s voices.

It would be so awesome to be able to check a toggle button at the bottom toolbar to enable or disable “auto skip intro”. I fall asleep to TV series, and some theme songs are obnoxious. So it would be nice to have a quick option of enabling or disabling of that feature. It needs to be next to the Repeat All button, and not in a freaking submenu either!
-
When shows are set to Repeat All, when playing the next episode automatically, IT NEEDS TO START AT THE BEGINNING. Why should it start playing where you left off which could’ve been months earlier?? I repeat… this is only an issue when “Repeat All” is enabled.
-
Which brings me to my last issue. If watching a TV series, and you decide to SKIP an episode and proceed to watch a dozen episodes or so following that skipped episode, and then you shut everything off and come back at a later time to resume where you left off…? It is determined to start with the episode that you skipped earlier!! Shouldn’t it instead start with the last episode watched??? It just doesn’t make sense!?
