GTX 1060 4k Transcoding / Keeps Buffering

I have a Dual Xeon Server with a GTX 1060 Graphics card. I have loaded a movie in a 4k format…HEVC…4:2:0. I have looked at the specifications of this card, and it is supposed to be able to transcode 2 streams…I have only tested one, and it plays for about 15 seconds and starts buffering.

I have the box checked to enable hardware transcoding. Is there a setting for the card or something “special” I need to do to make this work properly. Everything I read says that it should work, so I’m not understanding what I am doing wrong.

The transcode speeds (Using Tautilli) with my graphics card are not fast at all. They were less than 1.0 - I should be doing much better than that with HW transcoding.

Any help would be appreciated.

When you play in same pc can you check if video card is being used for encoding /decoding.

Not sure which os you are in. And the Nvdia driver’s are upto mark.
