There is a long standing issue of the guide showing that any program that matches the name of a scheduled recording is scheduled to record, even if it will not record because it does not match other constraints, namely, channel #, time of day, or “New episode”.
This has caused me to miss recording numerous shows. Last one because for some reason it was only set to record at midnight.
This is just crazy. To verify if there will be a recording, one needs to go to the DVR schedule, then scroll through 15 or more days of past recordings (why?) to get to TODAY and see if it is indeed actually scheduled.
It would be way more helpful if the guide noted instead of “Recording Scheduled” but rather "Recording not scheduled because [doesn’t match channel/timeof day, not new, etc]. Or just not claim the recording was scheduled.

I called this a bug about 2 years ago and was told it was a feature. I agree, the bizarre red recording icons present in the guide are completely misleading when you are set to record “new episodes only” or specific channel only. Maybe you want to add a vote here:
