Stop showing false recording icons in grid guide

First, the grid guide is terrific. Thanks for adding it to Plex. I use it all the time now. I have one issue however, that seems like a bug to me but I have been told it is a feature. So, I’m supposed to use this Feature Suggestions area to request the bug fix.

I record lots of TV series. I have set most of them to “New Airings Only”. However, when I peruse the grid guide all of these series’ repeats are marked with (erroneous) recording icons. So the new feature request is to stop marking these repeats as a planned recording.

Here is an example:

So far, so good. No upcoming airings. I understand. But when I look at the grid guide I see:

Which leads me to believe that I will actually record “Pawn Stars” tonight at 6:30PM. But that grid entry is a repeat and Plex and I both know this isn’t going to happen. My grid guide is speckled with lots of these false recording icons. Please make it stop. Possible “enhancements” that will fix this include:

  1. Stop marking non-recordings with any recording icon
  2. Allow me to configure this behavior in DVR settings
  3. Use a different icon (NO RED) for non-recordings

Just show it as the gray icon. You know it’s part of a series but not going to be recorded.
That’s pretty standard in DVR/PVR software.

Has this ever been addresed? I still see recodings that I specifically set for a single channel (NBC below) showing in other channels (ION below).
