Today I was setting it to record modern family at 9pm. At first I only wanted to record new airing only, but I noticed that it was also setting itself to record a modern family “repeat” played at the exact same time (9pm) buton on TBS. While this was an error, I figured a workaround would just be to limit it to channel 707 only, well guess what it still set itself up to record modern family on both channels.
This of course is a fundamental problem to have it record both new airings and repeats, and btw, the 707 had a “New” label next to it, and the TVs airing did not, so at least the guide had it right.
There is a difference between the 3 red dots that show up on the guide and the program being scheduled for recording which show up on the recording calendar.
Those red dots on non-recordings in the guide sure do seem like a bug. I had a conversation with a Plex ninja several months ago. He was adamant that they are not a bug, but are somehow a part of the design. So, he suggested I make a feature request to “fix” this incredibly misleading behavior.
