Guide not loading? Channels not tuning? Started 3-13-21? Time change error happens every time:(

Server Version#: 1.21.3.4021, latest beta and latest beta on Android( 3 devices)
Player Version#:8.15, 8.11, 8.13 multiple Android devices
Tuner Make/Model: HD home runs all models
Guide/Lineup name: Frontier FIOS

The guide keeps going in and out today starting a couple minutes ago and sometimes the channels will Tune In sometimes they won’t. It’s only happening on the Android devices not affecting Roku.

Same here on Amazon FireStick 8.13.2. Works fine in an older version of Windows 10 client.

This is really getting frustrating, as much as I love Plex WHEN it is working, it’s getting to a point where I’m starting to look at a different solution, it’s really annoying to not be able to watch my shows, either because sound issues or playback issues, or right now can’t event start watching because of this issue.

Live TV guide not working on any android devices, including Nvidia Shield Pro and S21 Ultra. Tried replacing DVR, rescanning channels. Works on web client. Annoying.

Same with my Fire TV sticks 2nd gen and 3rd gen running 8.14.0.23432: the EPG not coming up. Windows and IPad app work fine. I can occasionally get the What’s On to tune to a live tv channel. Hit and miss.

Oh wow its not just me.

Yeah the guide on my Pixel 3a XL and my Shield TV are totally broken. I can’t tune from whats on either.

I tried refreshing guide data. I can play live TV in the web client (app.plex.tv) but that’s it.

Something weird going on:). I checked https://status.plex.tv/, everything looks good.

Guides on both my firesticks are not working and if I go to the dvr schedule it shows recordings for Monday’s recordings for “tomorrow”. Its like it thinks its Sunday??

I am having the same problem on both my 4k Firesticks, and my FireTV Cube (2nd gen). No guide data is loading. I have tried clearing cache, data, reinstalling the app, and deleting and reinstalling the DVR. I am using the latest version of Plex server on Windows 10.

All was working fine this morning, but this afternoon, nothing.

I forgot this happens every time there is a time change with Plex. Generally affects Android. Guide and live TV is fully out now, it will be working by the morning. The only solution is to wait till tomorrow morning, use a Roku in the meantime, the web interface, hdhomerun app, or other platform.

See my post from last year;)

Same here. You would think that Plex would offer some support or maybe even a we are working on it. I have about had it with the all the bugs in Plex.

Good to know. This is my first time change with Plex. Thanks for the heads up.

Same thing on my Firesticks and my Android phone. Roku is working fine.

Same here, Shield guide and live TV not playing.

I’m with ya on moving to something else. It’s nice when it works but the Android client is unreliable. Over the course of the last six months each update seemed to fix one issue and introduce two others. The 90 minute loop issue is still happening. The current “fix” is to sideload a special package for live tv. Yea, no. How about y’all fix your sh*t.

If you find a suitable replacement do please update us.

@sixones

Glad I also use Emby, that worked perfectly all day today. In fact I use Emby mostly for live TV since Plex has continuous buffering issues with Apple TV.

Yes Emby is not affected, they have a solid team there. Like clockwork woke up this morning and the guide Is back. Till the next time change :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

I am still having to use emby… Seems I will need to delete and re add my hdhomerun

@bmdoss What time is it where you’re at? Example if you’re in Hawaii you have to wait a little bit longer:).

Central Time Zone its after 8am

That’s odd I’ve never had to re add the HD home runs after this happens and this has been going on for years. Maybe just try doing a refresh guide.
