I’m creating a special library of Halloween Movies, and would like to add some TV episodes, like the Simpsons Halloween Specials and some Twilight Zone episodes.
I categorized the Library as type ‘Movies’ and my Simpsons episodes (all in one folder, organized like a TV folder e.g. “The Simpsons/The Simpsons - s05e05 - Halloween Special IV.mkv”
The Simpsons aren’t showing up in my Library.
Any tips or suggestions on if and how I can get this nicely organized, would be welcome.
You cannot combine tv show episodes and movies in the same library.
You could create a library type ‘Other Videos’ - but then you won’t get any metadata automatically.
The best way would be to create a ‘dumb’ playlist.
If you are using a ‘filter’ in your library, make sure to ‘select’ the items before you click on ‘Add to Playlist’ - otherwise you’d be creating a ‘smart’ playlist which cannot work across library boundaries.
