@toto313 Yeah, I absolutely agree it’s pretty frustrating to be a paid user for a long time, influencer of others, have a significant issue, and be ignored. Especially after wasting many hours testing, trying things, and going to great lengths to give great details and provide log files multiple times when it happened. I started this thread and it never really got anywhere. I gave up finally.
Here is what I did which helped “a little bit”:
CHECKED just “Scan my library automatically.”
UNCHECKED “Run a partial scan when changes are detected.”
UNCHECKED “Scan my library periodically.”
Set “Library scan interval” to “every 30 minutes”.
This seemed to sort of help the issue of hanging on Libraries Scan. However, it still happens sometimes, unfortunately. Anyway, hope this helps some!
I was looking around Plex when I noticed the new Plex Movie Agent and that I was on Plex Movie Legacy. I switched and immediately had this problem, looks like I’m gonna have to do a service restart just to clear the scanning message… yeah no thanks back to legacy, never had a problem don’t know why I ever thought to turn my back on a good thing. They should call the new agent Plex Movie Agent BETA and change the Plex Movie Legacy back to just Plex Movie til these kinks are massaged out.
Did anyone happen to find a true solution to this? I am still having issues. Seems to be 1 random file that it keeps hanging on. If I delete that file it hangs on a new one. I thought it was Hard drive related but I cloned the drive and it didn’t solve the problem… Definitely frustrating!!
