Hardware-Accelerated Streaming and Plex Pass

Hi,

I have a plex server running with plex pass lifetime with a NAS that supports Hardware-Accelerated Streaming for PLEX.

Now, if I invite someone to my plex server, can they use the Hardware-Accelerated Streaming even without having a plex pass? Or do BOTH need a plex pass? the server owner AND the one of just wants to play the files?
