Thanks, this fixed the pixalisation on my DS918+.
But with this update I have audio issues on some movies (looks like it is a issue with 7.1 audio, but cant confirm this).

I just installed 1.18.6.2343 and I don’t get pixelation but fast forward doesn’t work. If I do a 30 second skip or scrub forward it will buffer for a few seconds and then the audio starts but the video never loads.

I can also no longer get the Android player to even attempt to direct stream vobsubs. Not that it matters much with the vobsub bug.

Media Infos are not shown on latest beta ios client app. with your newest package on my DS918+. Shown on latest official PMS

Hi!

This is a known issue with our image transcoder that came up during internal 1.18.6 testing, it has been fixed and I will update the build in this thread later today.

Hello,

DS620slim here, definitively an improvement no pixelation on the anime, but takes more than usual to load around 10 seconds and if i scrub forward is not as fast as the PMS pkg from the synology repo.

I have 1.18.7.2306 installed and cannot downgrade to the version uploaded. Any chance there will be a new 1.18.7 build?

Thanks for the patch.

The patch worked for me the video is no longer pixelated when subtitles are enabled.

The only issues is that my 4k video files keep pausing every few minutes to rebuffer when subtitles are enabled.

Check your audio passthrough settings. If passthrough is set to off then switch it on. I was having issues with the Android client transcoding everything with subtitles with passthrough off, even when the audio was AC3 and the subs were SRT which should never happen.

Thank you so much for the most recent build. The previous 1.18.6.2348 one didn’t work. Videos did not play at all on iOS when hardware transcoding was enabled. The new 1.18.6.2349 version worked for me.

chrisallen did mention that the fix will only be in PMS 1.18.7 release. Just use 1.18.6.2349 until then

Hey guys,
got the 1.18.7.2306-9bdf93750 and the 1.18.6.2349-f0bf4dd50, would you guys consider the 1.18.7 beeing safe to install, cause I’m reading mostly positive feedback about this version?
Or go with 1.18.6.2349 since @chrisallen did change the link back to the 1.18.6?
Still regarding the HW-Transc-issue.

I had trouble with Live TV when I want to record something. If you don’t use feature you should be ok.
