Ditto same for me on my QNAP 453Be updated this afternoon and hardware transcoding broken on 1.32.2.7100 downgraded to 1.32.1.6999 and all is well again. Using docker linuxserver/plex:1.32.1 image resolved the issue.

Intel Celeron J4125 4-core 2.0 GHz
Oops… I see 1.32.2.7100 has been released for Public now as well 
For me QNAP 453Be Intel® Celeron® J3455 4-core 1.5 GHz processor.
Not fixed with latest public or bete Server release.

Same problem on DS1019+, INTEL Celeron J3455, running 1.32.1.6999 until fixed.

Please let us know in what release/build will be the fix, beta or public…
I see there’s a new update (Beta) out: 1.32.3.7089.
Doesn’t say anything about this issue being fixed though, who’s testing?

Our test machine KVM is down. The update for it borked the SD card.

I see what looks like:
- Fix the regression for older -3xxx and newer -4xxx CPUs which require the i965 driver. (Important to NAS systems and older CPUs like i7-3xxx)

I just tried on DSM6/J3455 with the .4.7119 build and has the same issue, transcoding in SW and high CPU for a HEVC video which with 6999 build is done in HW and very low CPU…
The .4.7119 build is not yet published, the server shows only 1.32.3.7089 being available, in release notes for .3.7089 there is nothing about i965 driver, hence haven’t tried it.
@ChuckPa where did you see the release notes with the i95 driver fix? and for what release they apply?
No good for me either. CPU spikes to 100% still while transcoding
