recently wiped my nas pc so i could do a fresh install of win11.
i haven’t had much time or kept up with plex recently but i got a low power mitx board with built in cpu to also serve as a home file server so i got the plex pass a few years ago so i can use hardware / quicksync transcoding.
It seemed to have been working fine on win10 but after win11, it’s been acting funky. i have web, android, and rokus in my house. Direct play seems to work fine, but if there’s any kind of transcoding that needs to be done it won’t use hardware anymore, i no longer see the little [hw] sign next to the media being played and my cpu has been spiking when it transcodes so I attempted to look further into it.
Sometimes I’ll see the [hw] icon but it’ll get stuck on loading forever. If a video is playing fine with direct play but then I turn on subtitles and it has to transcode, it’ll get stuck loading again till i close out, turn off subtitles, and play it again.
Hardware specs:
Asrock J4105 mobo with celeron j4105 / intel uhd 600
8gb ram
hdmi dummy plug (headless server)
I can upload whatever log files are needed but looking through the plex media server.log some lines of interest are below:

So as of now I’ve turned off hardware acceleration and its working fine but a bit slow.
Just updated to the latest server version 1.41.3.9292 but no luck still.
Any help is appreciated.
