This used to be worked awhile ago, but noticed it is not longer working. I have nvidia P2000 card, which when I watch a recorded video on my iPhone I see it show in status and all appears well. When I record live tv (HDHomeRun) I am getting mpeg-2.ts files. I have experimental transcoding turned on. Why am I not getting mp4 files?

would you please verify DEBUG logging is on , VERBOSE is off and recreate the first 30 seconds of playback,
then stop,
wait 30 seconds
download logs and attach

dvr tv will always be .TS files even if transcoding is enabled.

if you ‘get info’ instead of mpeg 2 they will be x264 constrained baseline.
