Hi,
I’m using a Harmony 350 and OpenPHT. As a infrared receiver I use a no-name which is shown as Chinavasion CVSB-983 in the MyHarmony App.
Now I’m looking for a way to map one of the Harmony’s keys to execute the “NextSubtitle”-function.
I tried to edit the remote.xml in “C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenPHT\system\keymaps” by changing “CodecInfo” to “NextSubtitle” - without any success.
Could anybody tell me a simple way to map the “NextSubtitle”-function on one of the Harmony 350’s key?
Thanks a lot!
make the harmony remote send the L keypress (cycle through available subtitle tracks) on whatever button you need?

That’s exactly what I want to achieve! Unfortunately, I don’t know how to edit the remote.xml. Could you tell me what I need to edit?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Hi, i was suggesting you use the harmony software to configure whichever button you wanted on the remote, to send the L key press - it can do that.

That was another solution I was aiming for. However, I can’t find a way to “teach” my Harmony to map the ‘L’-button. There is just a limited list of maps/function I can map.
Are there config-files from MyHarmony I could edit?
what OS are you running with openpht? is your harmoney configured as MCE remote?

I have not, as my computer didn’t have an integrated infrared port. I bought a very cheap one, which works well with Harmony. It’s shown as Chinavasion CVSB-983 in MyHarmony.
I just tried to set the Harmony to “Media Center PC [Microsoft Windows Media Center]”, but that didn’t work.
you didnt answer my first question…

Whoops, my bad. It’s Windows 10
thanks
here is another solution since you use windows
configure the harmoney remote as a mce remote
download the “Advanced MCE Remote Mapper” windows app
you can then change for example the coloured key on the on the remote, so they press L etc
this is what i use on my 3 windows htpcs

Thank you for the hint! I just tried it, but it didn’t work. I guess it’s because I use an external infrared adapter and not a built-in?!
I don’t see the yellow marked entry in my device manager → http://i62.tinypic.com/rh03sn.png
Nevertheless, I downloaded the tool and mapped a button as ‘L’. All I got was ‘³’ when I tried the button in notepad…
