Has anyone found that the EPG isn't loading which impedes DVR setup?

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong category. I am new to Plex and was setting the DVR function up in the UK with a Hauppage Duel HD tuner. All works really well (Goes off and finds channels from my local transmission station) until Plex needs my post code to find the most appropriate EPG. No matter what local post code I type in the box, Plex never allows me to continue from this point. I have set up this before and it worked perfectly but now no dice. Am I missing something or is this service down at the moment?

Thanks in advance.

Simon

I also have the same issue, stuck on postcode in the setup, I am running Version 1.19.4.2935.

It worked ok before but now just stuck grrrrrrr.

Yes, I habe similar issues… Tonight my Live TV & DVR stopped working and the EPG refresh ended up fetching EPG data in an endless loop doing it over and over again (due to the log) without getting any data… Restarting the plex server or rebooting the server did not help… So I renamed the plex settings folder on my server and started reconfiguring plex. And now I get one step further than you… I can enter my post code and get a list of providers, but only with one provider which is not mine… And even if I chose this provider I get an error “Failed to parse data”…

I am in Germany.

EDIT: I deleted the new settings folder again and reused the old one. The log shows these lines over and over again… Like 20 times per second…

Have you been typing in the complete post code?

for the UK, only type in the 1st part of the post code eg: OX1 (but not OX1 4DG)

Hi - your issue appears to be different than that of the OP. I would recommend that you start your own thread so we do not get confused

Looking into the problem

Yes I only enter the first part of the postcode e.g. XX1 not the full postcode XX1 2XX.

This worked before, but today as the UK needs to rescan to find the moved TV channels, I deleted the DVR and started a fresh, it finds the card and all the channels just sticks at the EPG postcode :frowning:

Hello,

I’m facing a similar issue here in France.
My HDHomerun works fine (through the Channels app for instance) but its down in Plex.
When trying to add the device from scratch, I’m stuck at the postal code screen (sometimes I can see the next screen but then it’s remains stuck at 0%).

I’m using the official Plex docker on a Synology NAS.

There appears to a data issue which is affecting setup and refreshes in Europe

This has been escalated to our provider

Thanks everyone for the update. The response has been overwhelming. Awesome team effort :+1:

Is this normal in this context that I can’t tune channel (error 5000) and that I can’t load channel mapping ?

The problem should only be impacting: DVR Setup and EPG refreshes

If it is affecting existing channels and live tv then would like to see logs and what was being tuned

Same probs here…

Plex aren’t currently reporting any probs though…

Fingers crossed it gets fixed soon!

Thanks, I’ve sent you my logs by PM.

I have deleted my PM, everything seems to be back to normal now.

Thanks for the support !

Ingestion job completed and cache should be clear now

Just wanted to give thanks for rectifying the problem. As an engineer I am well aware that many raise issues but but only few give thanks when they are rectified. So once again, my sincerest thanks :+1:

Thank you

If i am using a link from my IPTV provider for the EPG, does that just identify the channels or does that replace the PLEX EPG program guide? I am having similar issues but not sure where the fail is…

where were you thinking of putting this link ?

DVRs can either have the Plex EPG or xmltv source - which would be either a path to a file or a url to an xmltv service provider
