Has anyone found that the EPG isn't loading which impedes DVR setup?

I think i asked my question poorly… I have a xmltv link from my provider, and have added it when setting up the DVR. It loads all the channels but all the TV shows are listed like a movie and never has any episode numbers, and can only add the recording as a Movie. So… my question is, does that bypass everything the PLEX EPG does, or should any issues i have still be reported? My feeling is it bypasses PLEX data until it needs to be matched after recording, my hope is there is something in plex that can help me…

I think the best is to report it to your xmltv provider. We had other examples of xmltv where season and episode info was missing

Anyway to fix this, I can’t even watch anything without the guide as Plex has yet to register any channels. It identified the channels through the tuner setup, found a local guide but has yet to successfully set it up. Currently stuck on refreshing guide data “We’re now building your Guide Hang tight while we download all the data for what’s on”

Managed to locate the local EPG but it cant seem to get any data from it, constantly refreshing at 0% and not showing any channels even though it found them before and I can view them perfectly fine if I connect to the HD Homerun directly.

You were right - it was my mobile network provider, unsure why tethering didn’t fail previously but swapping my router sim over to my EE sim resulted in it working immediately, so I need to look at changing my mobile broadband provider unless you can suggest any local changes that I can use as a work-around? Assuming not, thanks for the prompt responses.

There are lots of users with same symptom of timeouts on the requests. They should route to cloudflare IP addresses - you need to talk to someone technical in Three customer service and they need to investigate The requests go to this domain https://epg.provider.plex.tv

I think that might have solved it, I used a different provider and was able to update the guide. I’ll drop a msg to 3 and see if they can find out whats going on with that address.

I have this problem, I am with three. Advised to ensure that my router (AI cube) is set to 3g only.
This works but im not happy being on slow-mo just for EPG
Three claim that this is not an issue not (it was and is still)

i have tried to follow up again and they say that there is no issue -im hoping I can start totie this up over the summer. could be a deal breaker!
