Has there been any solution to the negative podcast count?

I know this has been out there for a while, but has there ever been a stated solution that works permanently for this? I know that you can mark unplayed and then mark played and it fixes it (sometimes…it no longer is working for me consistently when I do this), but is there any other permanent fix I have missed? It’s rather annoying.

Thanks, let me look into this. Typically a negative play count means something got messed up and Plex is tracking the same podcast multiple times versus just incrementing the play count.

Edit - Have you ever done anything with your PMS database?

Thanks for looking into this. I have not done anything with my PMS db previously, but if I need to I could probably be walked through it fairly easily.

More and more negative counts popping up with no solution it seems.

@anon18523487 - Not sure if anything has changed on your side, but thought I would note just in case it becomes helpful. When I went to my Podcasts yesterday, none of them had negative counts anymore. I have done nothing to change on my side, and this is the first time in a long while (if ever) that I haven’t seen any negative counts on any of them. I hope this is in some way helpful.
