I have a hauppauge card in my PC (PCIe), and when I go to set up the DVR, it still looks for something that’s on the network, PCIe isn’t on the network, it’s installed hardware. I love the new feature of liveTV and hauppauge cards are now supported. Has anyone else run into this? I have updated to the latest server edition. I’m just confused why its still looking for a network device and no option for local.
Yes, same here. I’ve posted in 2 other threads about it. I suppose we both feel better we aren’t the only ones encountering this problem.
I saw after I post, there are a lot of us out there… I think it’s going to kick ass once it’s set up correctly. I just wished it was a lot better since it’s a paid service we are getting.
Which model do you have @bizkit5? If it’s a quadhd (the only PCI one we support currently) please post Plex Media Server and Plex Tuner Service logs.
I am having the same issue. I just bought the Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD (In device manager… Model 1651xx-1, Dual ATSC/QAM, IR and Model 1651xx-2, Dual ATSC/QAM shows up). I click on DVR setup in the plex settings and all it does is spin and spin and never detects the card, yet it does show up in device manager.

@willetjn, I have taken a look at your logs and can see the issue. There are multiple QuadHD models and it looks like yours’ is one that requires a change on our side to fix. Good news is that this should be in the next PMS release later this month.
@keithah Members, Plex Employee, Plex Pass, Plex Ninja, KodiDev Ah, that explains, I have a PCIe card, single tuner from almost 10 years ago… I was hopeful!! But hey I was thinking about upgrading to an HD HomeRun or the Hauppauge quad. Thanks!!!
