Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD Tuner - Plex says "device not found" after every PC reboot

As the title says - I’m using the Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD for live TV and DVR. The initial setup works great. Plex quickly recognizes the device, all channels are found, and I can watch and tape like TV. But every time I reboot my PC or power-cycle, Plex shows the tuner as “Device not found. Ensure your device is powered on and connected to your network.” If I hit “Add Device”…the USB tuner is shown right there. But then I have to go through the whole channel setup again.

Try this, because this happens often with the QuadHD PCI Express one (on windows 10 at least.) When you see that, stop plex server and start it back up again - don’t reboot that’s not necessary, and it should show up normal. I think its a random occurrence myself because sometimes its there other times its not found after a reboot or a stop/start of plex only, I think its a race condition bug in plex

will plex recongnizes wintv v8 when using nighthawk x10 with plex

I have the same issue running the Hauppauge WinTV dualHD TV USB Tuner.
Most things seem ok, ie channel scan, live TV & recording but the TV guide will not update automatically, I need to go into settings and force the listing update.
Error is always “Device not found. Ensure your device is powered on and connected to your network.”

I get this fairly regularly as well.
