I have a Hauppauge 2250 PCI tuner installed on a Windows 10 64 bit machine running Plex Server 1.7.5.4035 and when I first attempted to set up the DVR, I had a problem with the initial channel scan only finding 10 encrypted channels from my cable service (I do receive Clear QAM channels). Thinking it may be an issue with WinTV 8 installed, I got rid of it and tried the scan again after deleting the DVR in Plex. While it is scanning, I can see that the QAM channels are being detected, but when the scan ends it reverts back to the 10 encrypted channels. I have uninstalled/re-installed Plex and when setting up the DVR it tells me that there have been 10 channels detected before I even begin the scan. Not sure what to try next. Any ideas? Thanks!
I am having a very similar issue with my Hauppauge card. The scan detects the channels but, then it shows only “protected” ones. Very annoying, as I want this to work.
Having the same problem with the quad tuner card. The WinTV app detects several clear QAM channels, but PLEX shows all channels as protected after a scan despite finding channels during the search.
