I have installed a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD as per the recommended list but Plex can find no channels.
The antenna and tuner card works correctly as I can successfully watch tv with the provided app.
Plex sees the tuner but when I attempt to scan for channels, it says it cannot find any.
Update.
I restarted the Hauppauge sharing service
I restarted Plex
I then scanned the entire Australian bandwidth rather than the local one I live in (NB i had done this earlier and it had still failed)
Magically it found the channels and is now working.
I am not sure which fix it was.
The Hauppauge Software can interfere with Plex running, it’s advisable to not install it
I have it installed as i use it with other services
After a restart of the machine, Plex cannot manage the tuner, so you cannot configure it properly (though recordings work)
Restart Plex, as you did, and Plex then sees the tuner fine
Maybe it’s the dbc file with the settings that’s bugging you.
