I have a lifetime plex pass, and I cannot see a download option on any of my own hosted files on my own server. I am using the same user account with the plex pass on both.
Also, with that same plex pass account, I do not see the download option on files hosted by another plex server that I have been granted download rights to.
Any ideas as to why the download option is not showing up in either scenario?

Make sure you are using a Plex client that supports downloads.
Regarding the other server, the owner of that server must also have a Plex Pass.
Thank you for the quick response. The other server owner also has a plex pass, and I am using a windows client on windows 11.
Interestingly enough, I also have granted the other server owner download access to my server, and the download option appears for them.
That is not precise enough.
There are currently 3 different Plex clients usable on Windows, with only one of them being able to download.
Sorry for not being clear. I am using the chrome browser client. I also tried the edge browser client. Both are running on windows 24H2. The server is also running on windows 24H2.
I did not realize that the browser clients do not have that download functionality. I must have missed that in the guidelines and instruction information that was posted above
I downloaded the windows native client, and it does have the download feature. Thank you for the help.
