Having problem with naming tv episodes. I do everything correct but yet it still shows the incorrect title for the episode. For example everybody.hates.chris.s01.e01 is how I name it and for some it stays like that it doesn’t change to the episode name. Can can someone figure out what’s going on. Never had this problem before.
if you mean the episode name is showing as “everybody.hates.chris.s01.e01” is it an MP4 file? MP4 have embedded metadata that the agent will keep if you have “Prefer local metadata” enabled in the libraries advanced settings
Yes that is exactly what is happening
disable “prefer local metadata” in the libraries settings then refresh metadata for that show

Still having the same outcome. I’m at a lost as to what to do. Anything will help if you have a solution. I appreciate your time and thank you for trying to help file fix this.
Would you guys be able to come up with an update that would fix this. Never had this problem before you guys change how you retrieve metadata.
