When I add a TV show title, season and metadata are all properly populated. 1 issue is the Episode names are showing as the metadata embedded in the file as opposed to the data from theTVDB. In Settings>Agents>Shows>theTVDB, i have moved the order of metadata so theTVDB is on top and local media assets is at the bottom of the listing priority. I guess I could remove the metadata and re-add the show but there are too many. I’m hoping I can fix something and then just refresh metadata and have the episodes properly named. As opposed to seeing the episode names in plex I see the metadata which looks like Showname.S01E01.mkv – Help ia appreciated
What agent are you using for the library in question?
The server-wide agent settings only apply to legacy agents (e.g. TheTVDb or The Movie Database). The current-generation agents are configured per library (e.g. Plex TV Series).
If your library is using Plex TV Series, you can disable the use of embedded metadata inside the library options: ⋮ > Manage Library > Edit... → Advanced > Prefer local metadata
