Having the option to set a "standard album"

I would like to have the option to set a standard album as a sort of master release, and then an alternate versions tab under the master album. It would help me organize my library better and declutter a bit.

I’ll upload a screenshot, but what I’m suggesting would allow me to set times as the master release, and then set times (vinyl rip), times (american version), times (Expanded Edition), and times (USB Edition) as alternate releases, therefore decluttering SG Lewis’s artist profile.

There’s already an existing suggestion to support multiple versions / editions of the same album (with the option to group those or at least improve distinguishing them). Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.

Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Better support for multiple versions of Music Albums

I’ve got a lot of different versions of albums in my collection (original release, Deluxe Editions, versions from other markets and so on), although the versions are represented on discogs (which I believe is one of the sources for album info) I generally only get 1-2 options in Fix Incorrect Match, and frequently not the option I’m looking for. I’d like to see better support for this.
