Currently it is set up so that your plex account can only link to one live account. Plex has acknowledged this issue and said they would be changing it in the future.
I love plex and this is why I subscribe/support. But this features missing almost makes the app unusable for me because my daughter and I share our xbox and we both use plex regularly. Do we have any idea when this might be fixed?
Same here - became paying member so i can get access to my library, but we share the Xbox with my wife, so this is really not helping the case for the switch from the HTPC to the Xbox + Plex.
Well, on our Xbox One things have become utterly useless because we logged in yesterday using my girlfriends account and today it's not working with either mine, hers, my little brothers or anything?
Same issue here. Became paid member to be able to use with xbox one. 4 profiles on xbox one and have to sign in and out of plex each time. Makes the application unusable and a waste of my £39. Hopefully someone will acknowledge the issue along with an eta for being resolved
I have removed my xbox one as my plex and replaced it with my old mac mini...
Hello i replace my mac mini with the xbox one...
So please take a moment to realize that this is a must have fix.
Second... i know plex stand has been to not implement security on ratings... but with profiles... maybe it is time to revisit this feature. Now that you are main stream... This is a content management issue... for how items are added and displayed.
I have done the same. I have gone back to XBMC and will be cancelling my monthly subscription. Plex for Xbox One at the moment is of no use in a family environment.
The last post I give a detailed explanation and possible workarounds...
Yea... that is stupid.... i should pay for Live on several accounts and pay for ticket on each of those...
Dam time to go back to XBMC and my mac Mini (s)....
No this is not an issue that is solved by costing me money because the coed is not right... I am asking that the code be done right... maybe it is time to remove the limitation of the xbox client knowing that the server is required ... and that is only available on the plex pass.. plus... my media is local... and i am streaming local... so in all do respect doesnt the plex server show direct content.. like in windows... hmmm
so please dont post a work around that is to fix what is broken... and needs to be resolved.
Plex needs to talk to Microsoft and figure out not only how to see the primary account (which they are doing) but also family members under that primary account. Because asking the current way completely kills the product. It's attached to my account, my son walks in, we launch Plex to was a kids movie and I have to log in. Tonight my wife and I wanted to watch a movie, I was logged in, it prompts for my Plex info again. We just jumped over to Media Player - it was faster.

Odd, I don't have this problem when my wife comes into the room (she actually came in a few minutes ago and the xbox picked her up while watching a movie).
