I recently bought the NUC6CAYH mostly so that i could play movies with 7.1 DTS. I was previously using a Roku which does not support 7.1.
I have a Yamaha Rx-v675 receiver, and have all 7.1 speakers hooked up. I have been messing around with the settings in plex, but have been unable to get either 5.1 or 7.1 to work properly. 2.0 is the only thing that works. I have gotten it to a point where background music, and sounds play, but no dialogue is played. Is the NUC i purchased not compatible or something? Or am I missing a setting somewhere?
Intel needs to provide kernel drivers that will support passthrough of audio of higher quality than AC3 and DTS Core with Linux. This effects all newer NUCs that are using a LSPCon chip to provide the HDMI through DisplayPort.
Thanks. I am installing windows on it now, and will hope i can try embedded again in the future when intel fixes this. What client would you guys recommend to use within windows? The official PMP, or should i try OpenPHT?
