I download a third party plugin to add agents. I installed it per instructions in the plugin folder. When I open plex management and go to plugins it tells me none installed. Not sure what I missed. Thanks in advance.

If this is a third party agent, you should see it under Settings > [Server Name] > Agents. Depending if it’s a primary agent or a complementary agent, it’ll show up as its own “main entry” (like TheTVDb for tv shows) or as a data source available for selection within such a primary agent.
