HBO Free Holiday Trial/Broadcast Blocked by Plex and Can't Select To Use, Why?

Server Version#: 1.30.0.6442
Player Version#: 4.29.2 WIN 10 but use web player too
Tuner Make/Model: HD HomeRun with 3 tuners with Optimum cable card
Guide/Lineup name: Optimum Dutchess
Using XMLTV?: No
Channel number/Name: 801 thru 806 HBO channels named HBO2H, HBOSH, HBOFH, HBOCH, HBOZH, HBOLH which are holiday free and clear holiday broadcast trials you have marked as PROTECTED and greyed out and so not selectable. WHY? I can play those channels using my HD HomeRun Phone app so I know they are not suppose to be protected/inaccessible by Plex.

I use a different tuner so I am not sure about the HD Homerun but I suspect that Plex is reading a Flag set by the carrier as not an active channel you subscribe too. It is that HBO removed the channel encryption so it can be viewed by anyone. So it would depend on the software if that flag is being enforced or not.

The thing is the HD Home RUn Android home app has NO issue playing the stations that as I mentioned are free for a few days and NOT protected from the HD HomeRun phone app. I dont see why Plex would not handle it the same way. What is the difference? Thats my point. Plex should handle it the same way so that I may use HBO in the Plex app for this period that HBO must have set some flag noting this in some way short of just NOT even listing it at all in my listings under NORMAL operation since I do not subscribe to it.

Protected means copy-once, i.e DRM. Only hdhomerun apps on iOS and Android can watch DRM, and only live. Only WMC can record DRM.

Again, PLEX surely has a way to allow me to use the HBO channels my ISP provided free for a week or so and of course they go away so PLEX could not use them once the period is over. If not a sad setup.
