for the life of me I cannot get any hd channels using Hauppauge win tv dual hd tuner in nvidia shield. I am using an indoor Aerial but on my tv get all hd channels no stuttering perfect on same aerial same place. any ideas or just a case of external aerial.

thanks for heads up, I presume this is still an issue with dual hd? or is there a planned update? wish I would of paid extra for homerun hd can’t see point of watching sd when I have great hd directly on tv.

I think it’s an issue with plex and/or the nvidia shield as the tuner is able to show HD channels on the windows platform.
You won’t have any better experience with the HDHR; you’ll experience the same issue of not being able to get he HD channels.

I had a HDHR before trying the Hauppauge dual tuner. Although I liked the multi-device network function, I found the tuner to not be as good as the Hauppauge WinTV-dual HD. Too many channels showed pixelation and interference. The Hauppauge WinTV-dual HD picks up the same amount of channels as my TV connected to the an indoor aerial. The DVR Live TV function is still in Beta, so we’ll see what happens down the line as far as updates and bug fixes.
thanks again will hold my horses and watch this space, I do love the live tv plex outlay user experience but no point in using at moment until hd quality picture available. am hoping that also in future will be able to share live tv with my other devices roku and fire tv via Nvidia server.
There is no issues getting HD broadcast channels with the Hdhomerun. I’m using the Sheild with hdhomerun connect and record 1080i and 720p broadcast channels with it.
