I have managed to map a bunch of channels in Plex Live TV with my Hauppauge DualHD stick (on Ubuntu 16.04). Some of these are HD and appear with the HD suffix on my Channel Manager (e.g. BBC2HD).
However, when I record programs or watch live TV, it seems to be streaming and recording in SD. What am I missing? Previously I’ve used tvheadend with the same stick without any problems.
Got the same issue, DualHD is connected to a 16.04.3 LTS server running the Plex docker container (also Ubuntu 16). I’m unable to watch any HD channels (even the ones with the HD prefix) everything is SD. When I try to watch a HD channel directly (Plex says the stream is HD) it’ll either play SD or return saying unable to tune to channel.
Are you both on the 4.4 kernel as per the instructions here? http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support_linux.html#plex
uname -a will show the kernel version.
