No HD Channels From Plex Live TV - Hauppauge

PC: Vorke V1 Plus
OS: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Plex Server: Version 1.10.1.4602
TV Tuner: Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD (UK)

After repeated scans, I have not been able to find any HD channels using my Hauppauge TV tuner on my Plex Server. It is running on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS desktop.

Any advice?

Hi,

I’m having this exact same issue with a very similar system (16.04).

I’ve installed the packages as described here: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support_linux.html

All scans come back missing the HD channels though. Without these the DVR is fairly useless to me.

Did you find a fix? Or does anyone else have any ideas?

For anyone else, I have solved this now,

The linux packages for 16.04 only support kernel 4.4. I have booted with the modified kernel installed from this guide: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support_linux.html and hd channels are now found.

I still have an issue with it only appearing as a single tuner but will create another post for this.
