I’ve had HDHomerun working on my Plex for years. All of the sudden it disappeared and when I click Setup Plex DVR it does not find it automatically nor by IP address nor host name. HDHomerun is def working, I can hit in the browser by IP address on the machine that Plex is hosted. There has been no changes to the machine. What gives? Did you by chance recently change where your Plex data folder is stored? In your “Plex Tuner Service.log” file I’m seeing this message repeated:

however, in your main “Plex Media Server.log” file I do see that you have your tuner defined:

When I searched for the message about the missing drv_file.ini, I found instances where people had moved their Plex data folder and this issue had resulted.
Thank you @hokierulz for analyzing my logs! That’s the thing, I have not done anything to my Plex Windows server when my DVR setup just disappeared one day. I never move folders around.
So, it sounds like there is a conflict where one process things that the tuner is already defined while the other does not have what it needs to run it. So when I try to redo the setup it’s just spinning and spinning.
I have no idea how to tackle this. Can I recreate the ini file somehow? What’s in it? Can someone send me a sample? Or should I remove something somewhere else so it the server does not think it already has a tuner?
This thread discusses a problem that has symptoms similar to what you describe, though I can’t find a way to definitely confirm the same root cause. If it was me I’d follow the recommended procedure that has worked for some people: remove tv.plex.*.* files followed by a reboot, though if I were doing it I would backup those files someplace else first.
