so ive had this tuner since cyber monday where i bought refurbished at the hdhomerun website. at first it work find but then i realized it wasnt picking up as many channels as the hdhomerun connect i was using before. but now its having trouble not just playing tv show but recording as well. it will start just fine but after exactly 3 seconds it will stop. on live tv it will give me a playback error " this live tv session has ended" but when it comes to recording i get no error message it juist stops recording like if thats where the show ends. i’m only having this problem on plex it works perfectly fine on the hdhomerun software.
I’m having the same issue. Worked before I had to re-install my OMV server and the PLEX app.
i found a little work around. all i have to do is restart my pc im running the plex server on (sometimes is requires a full shut down then restart) but it always work.it fixs the recording issue and i can watch live tv but only for a short while. if i just use the dvr function i only need to restart every 24 hours. if im watching live tv it limits me to about 1-2 hours then the stream cuts off and ai get a “this live tv session has ended” message and im forced to restart. its a not perfect but its enough that i can get most of my shows recorded and watch the news.
