Hi,
Recently got a HD Homerun Connect, I have set it up on the network and it works fine (channel scan detects channels, and I can use good player on my iphone to watch Live tv". Setting it up in Plex isn’t working though. Got the latest version of Plex (1.5 something I think) and paid for a months Plex pass (to test before getting a longer subscription). When going to the DVR settings, Plex can see the Homerun, and I can “connect” to it, and even get it to do a channel scan, I then put in my post code (I’m in the UK), and it comes back with “guides”, I then select the Freeview England one, and click next, but at that point it goes no further, I just get a spinning circle over the button. I have tried several times, rebooted the server, and even selected a different “guide”, but get the same every time.
Anyone any ideas, I see quite a few posts at the moment about EPG date / guide not updating, could that be related.
Also in the UK. Something broke with it a couple of days ago. Just hoping someone is reading this Forum and sorting it out.

Thanks, I had looked / noticed all those EPG not updating / working posts, but wasn’t sure if mine was related as my issue was happening when trying to add the Homerun. So, looks like I may just have to hold fire for the moment until that issue seems fixed, and then try again.
So, after seeing in another post that something had been fixed I tried again. This time it took longer to download the guides, and then on the next screen more “guides” showed up in the list, including a Youview for London, and the auto channel mapping seemed a lot better then it was the other day, so I select continue, but it still doesn’t go any further with the spinning circle over the button.
I have left it a good 10 mins, and still the same. Do you think there may be anything I need to clear down / delete (seen in other posts about deleting the database, how / where do I do that).
imo it is gracenote issues, and IMO YouView is not the correct provider, we need FreeView back, i had issue last night to add my dvr back after testing some stuff, it is now added (took 30 mins to the DVR), and the epg guide is only partially populated.
Well I’m still getting this issue. I had found the location of the Database files, and I don’t seem to have any. I looked at trying to contact Plex direct, to inform them / get some help, but just get directed to FAQ’s and the forums. This is really putting me off the Plex DVR feature (I know it’s still “Beta”), but if I can’t even set up my Homerun I can’t even try it, so looks like I may have to look elsewhere, and Plex loose out on at least a Year subs from me (maybe even lifetime).
+1 without the Freeview EPG the DVR functionality does not function int he UK, I dont know why its offering Sky and Freesat EPG when the only supported model of HDHomeRun tuner is the DVB-T version
Still having issues
Updated to the latest (Plex Pass) Version - 1.6.1.3722, and (ever after a re-boot) still get the same. After I press the Continue button after the Channel Mapping screen all I get it the circle going round and round.
Anyone got any ideas, any logs I can look at to see what’s happening (or not happening).
Very disappointed with this, and (lack of) support from Plex.
Umm, So I have an old windows 7 install (a VM) with a version of Plex from a few yeas ago. I just ran the updater to update it to the latest version (1.5) and then tried to set up the Homerun on that, and guess what, it worked. So, looks like it must be something with my main Plex server (running Windows 2012 R2), so still looking for pointers on some logs to check etc.
Built a new VM with Server 2016 on it, and all setup ok, so assume it’s something to do with my existing setup (2012 vm), wondering if it may be related to the fact I am running Plex on that with the “service” wrapper", if I get time I may try without it running under that.
