HDR Tone Mapping Green Tint

I get a strange green tint when transcoding hdr films to a non hdr display. I have hw transcoding enabled with hdr tone mapping set, and I use an Nvidia gpu. In the dashboard I can see that the transcode is encoded and decoded in hw.

Anyone else having this issue? If it persists I’ll probably have to keep 2 libraries of films again: Movies, and HDR Movies.

That’s indicative of a Dolby Vision type HDR file.
Can you check if that’s the case?
Regular HDR10 will not do that with tone mapping.

hmm ok, let me try an non-DV file. What is the technical limitation with tone mapping DV? Licensing?

I’m really not sure it may be just something that Plex haven’t got around to. But I’m really not sure.
There are so many variants/profiles for DV so that may be a part of it.

I can confirm non-DV files are transcoded properly. That’s unfortunate, but I’m happy there is a workaround so i don’t have to split up my libraries again.
