Incorrect tone-mapping with Dolby Vision video on SDR displays

I noticed that when playing DV files on SDR displays the transcoding process produces incorrect colors with green tint.

I experience the same behavior. Will have to hold back from collecting DV files for now then since they cannot be shared with clients that don’t support it. Regular HDR tonemapping to SDR works fine though.

My guess is that it looks like PMS doesn’t even realize that the DV file is some sort of HDR, and just transcode it as if it were a regular SDR file. I don’t think PMS has any notion of what DV is yet.

I’m having the same experience. Green tint during tone mapping.
