Headless Plex Player for Tidal and remote functionality

Hi All,
I’m looking for a way to be able to remote control a plex+tidal combination from an IOS or an android phone, without any screen attached to the plex player. The app on my phone says that this function is not supported when I try to start a song. So here is my setup:

  • plex server running on my NAS
  • got a tidal subscription, which is linked to my plex account
  • got an rPI3 with a DAC plate on it
  • this is hooked up to a stereo amp

I’ve seen a few topics here about this same question, but all were closed without any useful answer.

If you got any suggestions please share, but to use a display for that PI is not a solution, as it picks up noise from the HDMI …

I doubt that I’m the only one trying to make this plex+tidal remote thing happen. It’s near useless without this at home. DEVS? Any info on this? Is it planned, or will never happen?
